Mountain Air Concerts (MAC) was started by Dakota in 1965 and over the years she has produced over 3400 concerts and festivals

Dakota has been fortunate to work with and produce many of the worlds top superstar talent including the Doors, the Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Bruce Springsteen, Fleetwood Mac, the Beachboys, Kenny Rogers, the Jackson 5 and many more (which are shown below).

Dakota's mission has always been to book quality talent and mix it in a somewhat eclectic and out of the box way. Dakota also began with the philosopy of booking opening acts that she felt would be built into headliners in the future thus some of her opening acts were the likes of Santana, the Doors, Stoneground, Quicksilver, Seals and Crofts and many more.  

Looking at the promotional part of the show, Dakota's concerts are actively and energetically promoted at a grass roots level as well as well as in a well-planned, meticulously and creatively conceived advertising plans for the electronic and print media.

The night of the show and all its' technical details were always well thought out in order to to produce the most professional, well run and organized presentation of the artist to the audience. The artist's comfort as well as a well organized back stage were extremely import to Dakota. A well-thought out plan for providing healthy food and offering some of the bands favorite snacks and entrees were always a big part of Dakota's presentation.

Dakota was very fortunate to have been a frequent attendee at the Fillmore and Winterland productions of San Franciscan promoter Bill Graham. He was a wonderful example of how to successfully and professionally produce the technical part of a concert so that the bands and the audience melded together smoothly. Graham was an incredible mentor and teacher of sorts to Dakota and she will always honor and acknowledge Bill Graham's talent, excellent skills, and organization in presenting exciting and successful concert productions.

Our concerts were produced in venues ranging from a 300 seat capacity venue to outdoor concerts with over 60,000 in attendance

29% of our shows sold out in advance and another 57% sold out at the door (86% total sell-out percentage) and our last 47 concerts were complete sell-outs.
